“MIKI HOUSE Go Green Campaign”

[Summary]

In order to deliver safe and secure "MIKI HOUSE Quality" to children and their families,MIKI HOUSEWe use carefully selected materials to create original fabrics. During this process, some "sample fabrics" will be produced as prototypes, depending on the material and pattern.

In this campaign, children will use the sample fabric to make their own thank you cards, tissue holders, etc. Through creativity and ingenuity, we not only transform sample fabrics into new value, but also provide children with a fun and fulfilling time while fostering a sense of ``cherishing things.''

MIKI HOUSEIntroducing our distinctive sustainability efforts.

[Promoting circular economy: Utilizing towels using technology that recycles “cutting waste”]
<“Towel using loopless thread”>

MIKI HOUSEHa,Initiatives using L∞PLUS (*), a technology that recycles cutting waste generated at garment factories, which previously had to be disposed of.We are promoting The background to this initiative is that we handle high-quality baby and children's products that are MADE IN JAPAN, and can be assembled in Japan to effectively utilize waste resources.

We unravel the "cutting scraps" of high-quality cotton materials discharged from sewing factories into fibers, recycle them, and retwist them into threads called "Loopras yarn."We turn this into towels and give them to customers as gifts for any occasion.

Through initiatives like this, we reduce waste and save resources during the product production process, and help customers sympathize with our sustainable mindset.

*“L∞PLUS” is a recycling technology system developed by KURABO INDUSTRIES LTD., a major Japanese general textile manufacturer, based on the concept of ““Better” born from “Mottainai””.

[Environmentally friendly manufacturing: Use of sustainable rubber in baby shoes]

MIKI HOUSEWe are actively working on manufacturing products that are safe, secure, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. A typical example of this is the use of sustainable rubber in the popular Japanese-made baby shoes. We are the first in the industry to use rubber made from natural rubber, which is produced with consideration for the natural and working environment, and has a serial number and a controlled distribution channel.

[Switching to store fixtures and packaging materials that are conscious of reducing environmental impact]

In addition to our products, we are also working to reduce the environmental impact of the equipment we use in our stores, such as using sustainable paper for the shoppers we hand out to customers and product labels, switching to plastic bags made from biomass-derived plastic, and switching some stores to hangers made from wood planted to keep forests healthy.
