Amami Oshima is located almost halfway between the mainland of Kagoshima and the mainland of Okinawa.
Most of the island is made up of forests, and is characterized by a rich natural environment that is both diverse and rare, and is one of the world's best.
The main characters this time are the ``wheel plum'' (Teach tree in the Amami dialect), which protects people's lives from the sea breeze, and the ``iron-rich soil'' brought about by ancient layers that are more than 1.5 million years old.
Mudjime is a unique dyeing method brought to you by the majestic nature.

The tannic acid pigment contained in the dye extracted from the wheel plum (a rose family tree grown on Amami Oshima) is chemically combined with the iron (ferric oxide) in mud fields (Amami Oshima mud that contains a lot of iron), and by repeating the dyeing process over 80 times, the product is dyed a deep, glossy, astringent black color.
Each dyeing process is done by hand, and this Samue is a masterpiece in which the entire sewn product is dyed using ``product dyeing'', in which the craftsmen carefully dye each garment one by one.

In addition, mud-dyed fabrics are environmentally friendly because they use only natural materials without using chemical dyes, and the tannins used as dyes are said to have natural antibacterial and insect repellent effects, which can be expected to have a positive effect on children and their families.
